    The Burley Manor Hotel is the jewel in the crown of the New Forest and throughout its long history, Burley Manor has enjoyed many regal connections. Dating from 1852, the original manor has been considerably upgraded, refurbished and extended to create the Burley Manor Hotel that we know today. The hotel is packed with tradition and history, from the baronial-style entrance, superb fireplaces and antiques to the elegant bedrooms, all making for the most truly welcoming and relaxing stay. The two versatile conference rooms offer a tranquil location for training events and seminars. The ground floor Esdaile Room with its stained glass window overlooks the front of the hotel and deer paddock. Charcoals Suite is a self-contained venue located in the grounds of the hotel, ideal for those ‘get away from it all’ team-building days. The hotel has ample free parking. The hotel has 38 en-suite bedrooms including standard, premier and four poster rooms, with some premier rooms overlooking the landscaped gardens. All rooms have colour television, radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer and trouser press together with tea and coffee making facilities. The delightful Oak panelled Restaurant with adjoining Victorian-style conservatory offers an extensive `a la carte menu together with an excellent and imaginative wine list. Both of these rooms are available for private functions at certain times. Alternatively enjoy a light meal, afternoon tea or drink in the cosy lounge and bar. The hotel has an outdoor heated swimming pool (open April – September, weather permitting). The hotel also boasts its own riding stables, with horses suitable for novices to the more experienced riders.

    As you drive through the ancient New Forest, and up the long sweeping drive to the hotel, shadowed by Canadian redwood and copper beech trees and lined with rhododendrons, your anticipation builds. Your breath will be taken away by this magnificent, country mansion surrounded by natural forest. Rhinefield House is home to a number of hidden treasures. The Alhambra Room, originally built as a gentleman’s smoking room by the owner Mabel Walker-Munro as a birthday gift for her husband, is now an elaborate private dining room. Designed as an exact replica of the Alhambra Palace in Granada, it is elaborately embellished with onyx from Persia, magnificent copper and bronze, and hand-cut mosaic tiles. Attention to detail also prevails in the restaurant where you will find the magnificent carving of the Armada set in the restaurant fireplace. This took nine years to complete and was carved out of one solid block of oak some 4ft thick. It provides the perfect backdrop to the masterpieces created by Chef and his team who delight in choosing only the finest ingredients to provide mouth-watering food complemented by a wide selection of fine wines.
